How to tie a tie
Four-in-Hand works for most occasions: it is simple, slightly asymmetric, and easy to remember.
Four-in-Hand knot
- Place the wide end lower than the narrow end.
- Cross the wide end over the narrow end.
- Wrap it behind the narrow end.
- Bring it across the front again.
- Pull it up through the neck loop.
- Pass it down through the front knot and tighten gently.
The knot should be snug but comfortable. Straighten the collar and adjust the length.
